When the Covid pandemic shut us down, Tavern survived by serving “Finish-at-Home” gourmet dinners where Chef Nate would spend three days working on a meal, getting every element within 15 minutes of serving while Kent’s son, Miles, filmed every step of the way. Guests could pick up a dinner that took 30 hours to prepare, watch a 5-minute video on how to finish it at home, throw one element in the oven, bring another to boil, flash another in a pan and 15 mintues after walking through the door, they could serve an incomparable dinner to their family. The hot stuff was hot, the cold stuff was cold, nothing got mushy in a to-go-box. It was culinary perfection.
